Don't know if any one else has seen this or not!I recieved a e-mail that claimed it was from paypal and was a reciett for a payment to some place I had never heard of. My first reaction was to click on the link at the bottom of the message that said click here if you didn't make this payment. Wrong thing to do!I stopped myself and called paypal instead. It was indeed a spoof email looking to get my user name and password. all paypal nessages should have your name on it, this just had my email. Just wanted to let others know to watch out.

I've gotten emails saying they were from paypal that had my name on it (but they were from someone trying to get my password). The thing you have to remember is if the link takes you someplace else other than paypal.com it's not real.

Ididn't realize that it was that common a thing, Kind of scary! I was glad to see how fast pay pal responded. Five minutes or less after getting off the phone with them and they sent me a email wanting a follow up. Still glad the paypal account is drawn from a bank account used just for that. Never keep much in it for that reason.

That's the same thing I do with mine, keep it at a low amount so and I refuse to attach it to my credit card.

Been doing Ebay and Paypal for about 5 years. Any email I get that says its from either Co. I automatically forward to their spoof site of Ebay & Paypal. These phony emails are always trying to get your password or other info so they can rip you off. Always let Ebay & Paypal handle them for you.
