Just got a notice Melissa Etheridge tix go on sale tomorrow and I was willing to actually pay her exorbitant fees this time to see her post-cancer because I just KNOW it will be one of her best concerts ever. But I just bought a new tumbler which pretty much maxed out my card. HOPEFULLY she won't be sold out next week.
Ahh, the sacrifices we make for this hobby.

I've seen her at least a dozen times. Then I stopped going because, frankly, I thought she was being pretty arrogant commanding $75 tickets when acts that had been artound much longer than her were asking for less.
But this time, I will make an exception. Now, if the Indigo Girls find a venue, my summer willb e complete.

Yep last time I saw the Indigo Girls was the summer of '92 in CA, also saw and met kd lang that same summer. I met Melissa way right before her first album came out, she was in a club in Dallas...$75 is alot for tickets, but to me she is worth every penny, hence why don't get to see her often...
My ultimate concert? Melissa, kd and The Girls...

I've seen the I-Girls about 25 times over the years. Would have seen them this year except the NIMBY-loving assholes that make up Wallingford decided they can have Gasworks all to themselves, even though it is supposedly a city park. No. I am not bitter. Not at all. I just think if they want that much control over what goes on there, the city should sell it to them so the rest of Seattle doesn't have to.
