Hooray for daylight savings time. Man, I love it when we get to set our clocks ahead. We've had rain around here until today when the sun finally came out, so I just noticed how light it is still at almost 7:00. More time to go out collecting rocks!!!

DST just pissez me off! Why can't we just leave the damn clocks alone?!?! It does nothing but cause confusion & disorientation in the masses. IMO it's just a scam concocted by the power companies to make more money. They even go so far as to claim that it SAVES power but if you run the logic & do the math it turns out that we are actually using MORE power during the winter. It's a friggin conspiracy I tell ya! Where the hell's my foil hat?!?! I know mine works because it has an Earth grounding lead but since the Schuman resonance frequency is increasing due to government HAARP experiments gone awry, soon it will cause our head Chakra's to explode anyway so what's the point? Okay, i'm on a rant. Sorry, it's just the effects of that damn work virus. It's like herpes, once you have it...

That is another thing I love about Arizona, we don't have daylight savings time! The only thing I hate about DST is that my parents live in Arizona and I live on the East Coast. Now, we have a three hour time delay instead of two. Bummer!

Time worked well for millions of years before some fool started this DST. We should just leave it alone. Not nice to mess with Mother Nature ya know..

I wish they'd just leave it on DST and make that the standard. I hate it in the winter when we go backwards, by Christmas we're lucky to have daylight for 8 hours, it's so gloomy all the time. To me it would save more money having that extra hour of sunlight in the afternoon than in the morning.

Nope, except for the Navajo/Hopi Reservation as those nations chose to observe it probably because they do a lot of farming there. When I was truck driving I'd always forget that and have a delivery there, folks would be at lunch or already gone home because of DST!

Sask doesn't switch...it's true. It's on DST all year round. The days are long...very long. I've got to say since I've moved south, I don't like switching. Old dog...new tricks...you know how that goes.

Arizona isn't alone -- Saskatchewan, Canada doesn't make the switch either. I'm one province to the west (Alberta), and I really like DST -- in late June the sun here stays up until after 10 pm, you could still easily read a newspaper outside at 11 pm, and the sky never gets completely dark all night. We pay for that in December mind you.... As an amateur astronomer I absolutely LOATH this!! It's too damn cold out in the winter for observing & the optics usually just fog up anyway but in the summer you have perpetual twilight & heat distortions. D'oh!
