After quitting a really sucky job last fall, I went into a phlebotomy program at a local tech. college, hoping to get work in a lab, drawing peoples' blood.

It's been hard to find work without experience around here, as there are several technical colleges in this area churning out new grads every few months, but I finally landed one. It's with a company that sends people out to do "paramedical exams" for life insurance companies. I'll draw blood, fill out questionaires, collect urine specimens, and sometimes do EKG's.

What really appeals to me is that on a month to month basis, I tell them when I've available to work. I don't have to request time off, I just say I'm not available that day! Or that week! I love flexibility with my hours! Awesome!

Anyway, just thought I'd share my good news with my new friends.
