that is the most unnerving sound on the t.v. when you know tornados are expected. i rushed up town to get light bulbs thinking i could beat the storms and the girl in front of me couldn't get her debit card to work and said her car wasn't far and she'd go get her checkbook. her total was $6.95 i think and i was so unnerved i told the man to let me pay for hers and please ring me up so i could go. just as he got mine in the bag it hit. instead of heading for home i was trying to get to my mom's which is closer and it started blowing my suv into the center lane. i told my child to pray and she said started praying for our dogs . i was a wreck - ok i'm still a wreck because it isn't through. we are getting a break right now. my husband said he was getting baseball sized hail where he was and izzy called and said it blew the screen off his porch and the roof off one of his buildings. they are saying it is going to gain more energy later. would someone please pass me a valium! kim

Stay safe Kim. I'm glad you are okay. Is John ready to bail out of there yet?

Oh my, I forgot where you live, otherwise I could keep on eye on the news channels. I am more scared by wind-related disasters than any other. Keep us posted, so we don't get too worried about you.

I can just hear you explaining that to your insurance agent John. "The power went out and that stopped the tumbler and when it tried to start back up when the power came back on, well, that's when the fire started." Stay safe and protect them rocks.

Kim, it must be 11 pm in your area, you OK? Hope it has calmed down. I'll send you some of my meds. Don't take 'em, just throw them up in the air. They're potent enough to calm anything! Hang in there.

Kimi-
Did you guys build a shelter in that workshop of yours??? Sorry to hear of the scary weather. Those twisters can be ugly.
When I was at school in Wisconsin, we had a siren come on and instead of heading to the basement of the house I lived, I jumped on my bike and headed to the store to get some Eskimo Pie ice creams. Not too smart, but I didn't like the girls that lived downstairs from me. I thought if I was gonna die, I'd rather it be w/ a nice Eskimo Pie than w/ 2 girls I didn't like.....LOL.
Keep your head low and make sure Sands' got your back.

Let me get this straight, Kim. The tornado alert sounds, and you go . . . . . shopping? Glad everyone's ok. And remember, no donut runs at 2am.

Kim I hope you're all okay! Are you guys in Texas in what I've heard called "Tornado Alley"? didn't you guys just get one not too long ago?
We had a funny colored sky, winds & hail last summer & I told the kids to head for the basement when we said, no hesitation, they didn't understand why, but hubby did quite quickly. We were okay, but tornadoes terrify me.... my thoughts are with you guys
That's a lot of large rocks flying around your place huh?
