Well another fine scam concerning paypal has come through my email today. This was in my mail box this morning. The spam filter didn't catch it. FYI Paypal would never send an email like this. They would let you know about something of this nature AFTER you go to their secured site and sign in. After a careful scanning I found that the link will bring you to what looks like a legitimate Paypal login site. A little further investigating brought me to an Asian web site. I got one a few weeks ago, stating that my payment had been received for an item I'd never won. It had a name/address that item was to be sent to. I clicked on the eBay link for the item I'd supposedly bought, and it was a legitimate auction, that had been won by the person whose name appeared in my hoax email. It really made it look like this person had won an auction and used my paypal account to pay for it.
I forwarded it to spoof&paypal.com, and was informed that it was a scam.

When we went to China, the wife attempted to hook up to the internets there. Oh, she could hook up ok. But within seconds we were getting warnings of intrusion attempts. It was non-stop. We decided not to be on the internets while there. Far too dangerous.

Forward it to spoof@paypal.com. You never know, they might be able to catch who sent it and prevent someone more gullible from being scammed.

That IS a fraud Sands ... send any email that "supposedly" comes from Paypal or eBay to spoof@paypal or spoof@ebay.
