just spent the next ten years of vacation money on a inground pool. mostly for my two boys "and a little for me also" doing things like this makes me lose sleep. i dream of the days past when all you had to worry about was what mom was whipping up for bed time snack. wish i was a kid again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A long time ago, a friend of mine put in a pool that she couldn't afford. It was a great passtime every summer, and I was often over there, watching her children swimming with their friends. As the years went by, I found myself sitting there, watching her grandchildren in the pool. It was absolutely priceless.
Wishing you many memories.

they are coming tomorrow for the lay out. but i need to get a plot plan of the yard and house for the permits. which is a two week wait . they also need to know what kind of fence I'm going to use and since the fence across the back is the guy's behind me, i might have to put my own fence right in front of his. just in-case he takes his down the pool will still be in-closed. then there is the gas line for the heater. the gas meter is in the basement so they need to come out and look at it. i said whats the difference where it is "they have to drill through the wall" i will drill any size hole they need. now i tell them up front that i build houses from start to finish for a living . so they don't say some bull s**t line thinking i don't know whats going on.

A friend of mine from work just had an above ground pool installed, and I'm installing the fence for him. The guys that put it in worked pretty fast until it came time to put in the liner. They got the thing about 3/4 full of water (about 12,000 gallons!?!) and the liner gave loose and spilled the load all over the yard!?! . Needless to say it made for some easy post hole digging with the ground so wet . Any way, good luck with the installation. Hope you have many years of cool enjoyment.
