super photo...what kind of camera do you have...and whats the secret to the close ups...i cant even get a good photo of a big rock.

CP, I have a Minolta "Dimage S414". Secret? No secret. I just use the Macro feature on pretty much everything I lay my eyes on.

Thanks everybody.
Funny, I've lived in this town for a number of years now and have never seen a land snail that looked like the one above.
We're in the process of moving 5 minutes away (more inland) in the same town, and I'm seeing creatures I've never seen before (only in pictures, pet shops, etc... never in the "wild").
