The grass is greening up and I've got flowers!! It's a bit cloudy today or they'd be brighter looking. I also noticed that my grape hyacinths are getting their buds. I've got about 50 daffodils planted in this spot, lots of buds but only 3 are opened so far. Most years they dont' open till the beginning of May so this is a real treat for me.

Here also, the cattails in the pond are growing like weeds, the lillies are getting leaves already, tulips are growing fine. I guess I have to get the mower out and tune it up now. The only good thing about spring is I get to play with the pond, and I'm making more $ to spend on ebay.. Almost 2 more months and we will be up there, Cher.

You know, cattails can be boiled and eaten like corn on the cob. You have to get them when they are really small, when they are still in the protective leaves that cover them. Kids say they taste like corn on the cob too.
