Hi all. I just finished another project, this one for my niece. She was in need of a table for her laptop and someplace to do her study work for college classes. She found the top at a garage sale(it was originally a wall-hanging) and asked me to build a set of legs for it and stain it to match. And here's what I came up with. I mixed a stain that would pick up the color of the brown lines toward the middle of the top. She's coming to pick it up tomorrow. Thanks for looking.

Ed - Tell her to get a piece of class cut for that. 1/4 inch. sanded edges.

Oops, sorry, I forgot to mention that. The top is carved, so she has to get a piece of glass for the top. In fact, I think she's already ordered it.

That is stunning Ed!! My Dad loved to work with wood. He built stuff like that. It is so fine to see and use. Me, all I get out of wood is splinters. Nice work Ed.

Nice turnings Ed - I like the way they get thinner towards the ground.

great idea! and to think it was originally a wall hanging. The carving looks really cool too.

Wow, how about a close up of the top. That's something she'll cherish forever, beautiful job Ed.

Oops, sorry Cher, they picked up the table yesterday, so no close ups of the top. Thanks everyone.
