I think it's an active-x control LCars (i think) it could be that your browser security settings are to tight or you just need to allow the control to run...not knowing more...i'm just guessing here...

This is the error I get whenever I try to play those videos. I have no idea why this happens, my broadband connection is configured properly & i'm not running a resident firewall. Keep in mind that i'm still clinging to W98se for now...

W98Se huh? what version of media player? IE? ....might be a tough one to figure out..it's been many years since I've fooled with W98...but i would start by making sure you have the latest versions of MediaPlayer and IE. I know you can't get updates for W98 anymore but you can still download IE and Media player for install...look for the distributable files.
BTW - cool theme.. i've used that one i think...

It's a modified LCARS Windowblinds skin. It keeps me from having to tolerate the default windows look. I have the latest MIE & WMP versions installed, I think it's some error in my system to be honest...? Ehhh, some day i'll get a round t'wit & fix the damn thing for good...
