I knew all along this was a possibility but I've been feeling so good I was sure I'd be all done with it but I'm not. There was something in the PET scan this morning that my oncologist doesn't like ... something in my bone marrow. He's 95% sure it's something from the chemo but wants to be sure. They did a bone marrow biopsy before I even started the chemo and that came back clean and clear which is why he feels it's a chemo related thing but as a result ... he's not comfortable with stopping the chemo now. So I'm back on it for two more treatments plus the possibility of radiation. There goes the trip to Montana, right down the old tubes. Damn cancer is just trying to screw up all my plans. *sigh* I have to stop crying now and get back that kick ass attitude. I was so sure I'd be taking pacman down today, I should know better than to be to sure of myself. Oh well, thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. I'm sure they are working, it's just going to take a little bit longer. Cher

Cher, sorry to hear this. I guess better safe than sorry is what the docs think, but it must have been very disheartening for you to hear. We won't stop with our well-wishing until you're finally free and clear!

Cher, I am sorry. Hang on in there. It is going to be all right, it must. Considering that you are so strong and brave as well as all that prayers and good vibrations from RTH members it must be OK. You know I am very good packman player. All the best wishes from me and all my family. Zotika

Damn Cher, I'm sorry to hear that. But I have a question, if he thinks it's chemo related, why is he having you do more chemo treatments? Hey, you've come this far with a positive attitude and I know you'll kick this stuff in the butt. Hang in there, we're all behind you 100%.

Hey, you've come this far with a positive attitude and I know you'll kick this stuff in the butt. Hang in there, we're all behind you 100%. Just for precaution. he doesn't want to be 95% sure, he wants to be 100% sure. It's that 5% possibility that he wants to erase and feels the only way to do it is to continue the chemo. He also said, the best time to cure it is the first time around, so we might as well do it right and not take any chances. I guess I should be happy that I have a doctor that won't settle for anything less.

So sorry, Cher. But just a temporary set back. We'll keep praying, and you keep up with the positive attitude. It can be licked.

It's just a little bump in the road of life Cher. You can do this. You can beat this cancer! You have too many things yet undone and alot of rocks to tumble and slab! It's better to take a step back to be sure and then jump two steps forward. Okay? You will catch up and take that trip after all. Just a little later than you planned.

Ok, this is just a technicality, nothing has changed. I still KNOW that you are gonna be fine. I KNOW it. Never argue with a psychotic, just trust me on this one! Sorry it screwed up your trip. That's a bummer.

Cher-
That really bites. After hearing the docs explanation I guess that's a good thing!!! At least he/she wasn't 95% sure it was cancer!
Get after it, get better, and get your fanny out to that Big Sky country. Ever been there before???
Prayers from rainey and I coming your way for a speedy, pain-free recovery.

It's disappointing, but I'm glad your doc is looking out for you. Lean on us when you need to.
