:PNorovirus is the __its...literally!Got really sick thurs nite as I was shopping at Nordstrom. In fact, I'm beginning to think I've been cursed ever since husband & I won a free trip to Cabo!
Supposed to leave Wed. First vacation we've had in over 4 years. Made arrangements for our dog to be boarded, told all our employees they would only miss work if they were dead while we were gone & had a really nice mothers days planned with my daughter for her grandma. (Homemade brunch at daughters, champagne & Frambois Lambic-grandmas fav-It's a raspberry malt bev made in Belgium. TO DIE FOR!)
Went shopping after work thurs for mexico clothes & got sicker than a dog!
Don't know about the rest of the country but Ore. & Wash have been having outbreaks of this Norovirus. It's been going thru the elder care places & has leaked into general mass. We've lost some older folks from complications, but none so far under 70. But I swear to God...thought I was gonna die thurs. nite.
Sorry if what I'm gonna say is a bit too graphic. (I'll try to tone it down) But anyone that gets any of these symptoms, please be careful!
From 7:30 pm thurs to 7:30 am fri, I threw up more than 12 times. (lost count after 9) Severe stomach pains & cramping. (Yeah...got the other part that goes with it too! 6 times!) Fever, sweats, you name it, I got it. Scared the hell out of my husband too. I'm a pretty strong, healthy person that doesn't usually come down sick. And I don't like to be bothered when I am, just let me sleep, but with this...man, honey had his finger on 911 if I just said the word. He told daughter on the phone that this one had him scared. (Don't worry kids...I can still hear when something good comes out of his mouth!)
So now I'm tryin to get my strength back and hope there's no relapse. Article I read said you'll probably be immune for at least a couple of years. (there is a God!) If I hadn't been better by fri. am, you bet yer sweet $%& I'd been in the hospital!
I feel bad for my Mom though. Her health isn't good, lungs & heart problems, so she doesn't get out much. I'll have to reschedule her Moms day, but better that than she gets this hell.
Also may not be able to go on trip. Depends on how well I bounce back. At least we didn't spend a dime!
So please ya'll...you get ANY of the above...you be very careful!
I'm so tired from writing, I'm gonna have to take a nap pretty soon.
