Hey everyone. These new Macs come with Itunes on them and I've been listening to the radio stations while I sit here and read the boards. This morning I found a "classic rock" station that plays psychedelic 60's and I found a button on the console that displays a light show to go with the music. Talk about a flashback. Where the hell were these guys in the 60's? I could sit here for hours tripping out, just like the old days.

Dig it, man. I know what you mean. Don't know if listening to music is a hobby, but I listen to all kinds. Even play a little on my guitar.

Pho I used to listen to it all the time Pho but since the puter is in the same room as that tv, guess what wins. I finally just gave up and never even try them anymore. I did one time and it wouldn't work so I figured heck with it.

John, the one in Itunes is really cool. I stared at it while listening to the pscyhedelic music for like 10 minutes and it never repeated the pattern. Of course, I was a little dizzy when I stood up.

Yeah, watch that visualizer. I try to stick to photos in the cabbing section to stare at instead. I listen to radio stations via shoutcast.com. I bet it's similar to I-tunes in some ways. Though my favorite music to listen to is the sweet song of grinding wheels and the soft reassuring sound of tumblers. Ahh. Steve

funnny thread Ed, i love listening to music while working or reading on the puter. for anyone that loves free music, in which you are the DJ. goto www.pandora.comyou get 100 free radio stations with no commericals. and you create the station and modify it yourself. Its great for hearing new music becasue of how it creates the station. an how you can say you want to hear more songs like that, or no hear mor songs like that.

One of Montreal's most popular radio stations is a classic rock station called CHOM FM. All they play is classic rock (From back then to today). Lunch time is devoted strictly to 60's - 70's music. Any other time it's a mix of yesterday and today. Sometimes at night they have interviews, or let some local bands play to give them a plug, etc... Anyway, you can listen to them through their web site (Click on "listen now" along the top, where it looks like a banner). www.chom.com/

You can get the itunes media player at www.itunes.com and it is free. I use the itunes media player as my default player and am very happy with it. I have also used the itunes store to buy songs from too. Pho
