I cannot believe it! One of my customers finally spilled the Beans! He is Duck Ewing! I am making a custom pendant for him, and he gave me an original drawing. It is really cool. For those who do not know him, he was the illustrator for Mad Magazine from the '50's up to almost the present. He is a character. I get a lot of really cool people. Who would ever expect to meet some one from Mad Magazine?

Awesome Doc! Mad was my first magazine subscription as a kid. I loved that magazine. I'm sure it affected me for life!

Duck is going to do a mural in my house in the flat part of the cathedral ceiling. It was a toss up, Boris Vallejo, or Duck. I made jewelery for Boris's wife, and I make jewelery for the Duck. A mural by Duck will add 25,000$ to the value of my house, same with Boris. Now, if I could get both to cooperate. I only have one flat plane in the entire house that is not wood. I was offered 900$ for Ducks drawing 30 minutes after he left. Mine, mine, mine!!!! He is going to do a SpyvsSpy for me. Can you imagine a mural in the house? I am trying to get him to sit in the shop and just do drawings for folks. It could be fun. He is kinda up in years, but he is sharp as a razor, funny as all get out, and just plain decent to be around. Kinda like Mel Brooks and the Woodman in the same person. He is a riot.

Yup, I make jewelery for his wife. He is pretty cool. It still is a toss up, Boris, Duck, maybe even Lizzie. I do like Boris though. Kinda matches my perspectives.

My camera is busted. Jenne's mother passed away four weeks ago, and her brother and his attorney is rewriting the will. The money for the camera has gone into our attorney. Her mother left her an equal percentage of the estate, which is not much, and her brother after her mother's passage is rewriting the will so he gets it all, and we have to pay costs and taxes. Only in the People's Republic of Kalifornia! It is actually legal to rewrite the will AFTER the person dies there. I will have to restrict myself to showing after shots, or find someone who has a camera. When I have one handy, I will definately show photos.

Spy vs. Spy was ALWAYS my favorite and i think MAD magazine was the first "more than a comic book" book that i bought as a kid too.
that sounds cool that you are getting a mural, Doc, but it sounds like the sharp end of the stick you are getting from the lawyers. that sucks.
get SOMEBODY to take a pic!
