I'd like to see them come back as well. Harlene is a sweetheart!! Earthdog seems like a cool guy, I don't know him other than the posts. They are both part of the family. Did I mention that Harlene is a sweetheart? ;D

I am offended. Offended by earthdog and hermatite. They gave up to easily. I wouldn't expect this kind of acting from them. Hermatite tell Earthdog what you think and why you are offended but don't run away. From all people from this board you are the last one I would expect to act this way. From your posts I got a picture of you as a person with very good and clever reasoning. Earthdog for sure didn't think to offend anybody. Especially one from this forum. I am sure of it. Don't judge him for one his act. He is not only that. Earthdog, what is this. When one like to make jokes it is likely that sometimes someone could take it too seriously. It happened to me so many times. What you should do? Run away? I don't think so. What do you think? I am offended by you both for leaving this board so easily. I am deleting my account. Let us all do that. I am sure that you two chickens are here spying on us. P.S. I hope that no one is going to be offended with my English.

There is no one here who has the right to tell anyone to grow up or get a life or anything else like that. No one knows the real reason that picture cause the issues. I know why it caused issues for me and why I found it offensive but NO ONE knows why it caused problems for Herm. Shame on you, for all you know maybe she lost a parent / sibling or someone otherwise as close to a weight issue ... you don't know.
Ask her to come back but stop being judgemental as to why she left. If I were to read all of this grow up crap, I wouldn't come back either. How many said, "I'm sorry it bothered you?" What happened to that side of caring instead of going on the offensive over it? People have feelings, feelings get hurt, the problem here should be to fix those feelings and not be calling names like some five year old bully at the playground.

I have to agree with cher, I think its how you are feeling when you read a post like that. A family member could be sick, your dieting could go off track, problems at work or even your marriage going sour. If the person takes it the wrong way, they my do something impulsive. I have done the same thing here myself before. After awhile they will realize how wrong they reacted and have a change of heart ( Like Earthdog ) . Soon the other one will come around and join up again, we are all human and not perfect.

Sorry Cher, but you're wrong here. We all have the right to say how we feel. And she said how she felt. She said: "This so saddened and disgusted me that I had a nasty reply all prepared. However Drupe's sad news put life into perspective and I hope, earthdog, that you didn't mean this thread to be as demeaning to those of us who thought you were basically a decent enough guy. I'll save the reply for another day."
And this was AFTER all those other posts about Earthdog just trying to be funny, and him saying HIMSELF that it was just "Dumb". And even after all those remarks were made it was THEN that she posted her reply. And then instead of asking Earthdog to remove the joke from the board, she quits. Not exactly the grown up thing to do. It seemed to more than a few of us that it was more like the child who couldn't get their way taking their ball and going home in a huff. You're right to say no one knows why it affected her so. She didn't stick around to say why. But, be ashamed of voicing our own opinion on both their actions? I think not. He wasn't exactly using all of his neurons when he posted that picture, and she went the wrong way in trying to express herself the way she did and then leaving. She was going to react with something "nasty" herself. Thank god someone died to prevent that? THAT in itself puts things in perspective.
And with that I'd like to ask everyone to let this be the last post on the subject and let this thread die. E-dog, do us all a favor and delete the posting please. Herm, join us again. PM E-dog and work this out. We don't need anyone leaving us for something like this. Too many people want you to come back. You can affect more lives by being ON this board than being OFF of it. And I for one I'd like to get back to my rocks, my tumblers and my friends here at RTH. We're better than this. All of us.

Last time I asked for a thread to be shut down I got my a$$ chewed out over it.
And I'm sorry, I think you're wrong. Maybe it's just on the principle of things but when it comes to making people feel bad by what you're saying or doing there's nothing right about it.
Freedom of speach be damned .... With kids at the playground it's name calling and bullying and as an adult it turns into freedom of speech. Bull$hit! It's just another way adults use to not be responsible for their actions. It hurts just as much when you're an adult as it does as a child. Best add my name to that list too, time for me to grow up because I care that someone's feelings have been hurt. If growing up means you lose your ability to care about how others feel, I'm glad I haven't grown up yet.

Calling him "Earthcrap"........that's real mature! Your post is declaring your beliefs, but then you throw that in.................kind of defeats the purpose and meaning of your post, don't it?

Thats real good driftwood! Whats with the "earthcrap" thing? One difference here, I didn't call anyone names, make fun of their screen name, or try to offend someone. You tried to but it didn't work. Your showing your colors now. If thats the way you want to act, then why don't you leave the board? I've never talked with you, PM'ed you or even responded to one of your posts, I'm not offended, but that was uncalled for.
