There was a Scottsman who was visiting his nephew in America to see the sites. His nephew decided it would be a good idea to take his uncle to a baseball game. The Scottsman was really enjoying the time with his nephew and learning about the game from him. After a few innings the Scott was beginning to understand the rules and really getting into the game.
"Run Laddy, Run!!" he would shout when the home team got a hit. This continued for another inning or so until a heavy hitter came to the plate. The opposing pitcher wasn't throwing any strikes and the batter was not swinging.
...."Ball one, two, three, and Ball four"...."Take your base" shouted the umpire.
"Run Laddy, Run" ...shouted the Scott.
"No uncle...he doesn't have to run...said the nephew to the Scott..."he's got four balls.."
"Four balls?" exlaimed the Scott....."well then Walk with Pride Laddy, Walk with Pride!"
