Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint.
Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement.
The first patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the following week.
The second sees his family doctor after waiting a week for an appointment, then waits eighteen weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another month and finally has his surgery scheduled for a year from then.
Why the different treatment for the two patients?
The first is a Golden Retriever.
The second is a Senior Citizen.

Three registered nurses had recently passed away. As they came to the Pearly Gates of Heaven each spoke to the Almighty asking to be allowed to enter the Gates of Heaven:
The first added, "Dear God, I was a excellent ICU nurse, I took good care of my patients, and even helped to save many lives."
And God replied, "You may enter Heaven My child."
The second stated, "Dear God, I was also a fine nurse. I worked in the Telemetry Unit, measured many patients, and also helped to save many lives."
And God said, "You too may enter My child.
The third said, "Dear God, I was an outstanding Managed Care nurse! I evaluated many Outcomes, assured Quality of Care, and even Managed to save a heck of a lot of money at the same time!
And God paused and thought for a while. And God finally replied, "Yes, My child, you too may also enter the Gates of Heaven... But, you may only stay for three days!"
