the tournament started at 4 this afternoon...and i just got busted out...i played well..played smart...made 1 bad move..and it cost me.
i finished 16th...out of thousands that tried...my mind hurts now...it was intense....maybe my payday will come next year.
i am still mad at myself for making the mistake that cost me...but it is still just a game.
and now i drink to releive the stress...that the stupid poker game caused.

I'm sure you learned a lot and will be better for it next time around. A top 20 outta 1000 isn't too freaking bad in my book. Keep after 'em.

That's a great finish. I can't believe you finished out of the money though. What they only pay off if you make final table?

At least you got your foot in the door. Now you can take what you learned from the experience and build on it to improve your game for the next time. Everyone can make a mistake. Don't let this one time discourage you from trying again.  |

thanks everybody...if i would have known i was that close to the end of the tournament...i would have played totally diff...but i should have known that were close to the end after 6 hours of strait playing...that is 1 lesson learned....know where you stand at all times.  toad...only the top 2 moved on in this 1..top 2 were playing for all expense paid trip to vegas...entry fee to the world series of poker...and normally a 16th place finish would have netted about a 9k payday...in a $200 buy in tournament...which this was...but i won my way in thru various free qualifiers. thanks everybody |
