>:(we've just reset up on a desk top after out laptop went TO as some of y'all may remember. we've been extremely vigilant since then and check very often plus this new Dell software is helping too. anyway, the good news is that RTH has no fleas, bugs or carriers, the bad news is that once you log into Photobucket you get: advertising.com doubleclick fastclick i'm not stopping using photobucket because of this, just going to scan and clean afterwards. just a word to the wise...... Can't win for losing. Anytime they offer something for free, there's always some extra baggage you get whether you want it or not.

Don't bother looking for another place, just run spysweeper (www.webroot.com)! You can pick it up at best buy or online for about $10. VERY good program, updates all the time. I have been using it for the last 3 years on several pc's and have had very good luck with it. If you spend much time on the web you will be picking up tracking cookies and such. Just a happy (and bug free) consumer here! Bill

I've been using 'Spybot Search & Destroy' and 'Spywareblaster' for a few years, they've kept everything pretty clean. Also the AVG Free verson of the antivirus catches a lot of spyware.
They are all free online.

Those three sypwares you mention are some of the most used by large companies or online sties. Amazon, ebay, bestbuy, you name it, you visit it. They sell your info to spyware. spyware doesnt concern me, but i check it often to make sure its no maslious. What worries me more is the ISP movement to take awway your internet. Basically changing the fee structure so the more your online, the more you pay for being on it.
