The school year is ending and I find myself at this time of year - searching desperately for crafts for the teachers as a thank you for caring & teaching my two kids. There is 1 teacher and 1 caregiver for each of my 2 kids - here's what I found as crafts: kindergarden teacher - a "paper couture necklace - here's something of what it looks like www.plaidonline.com/apPC.asp#aw. It's a necklace/earring set made out of paper and they're very nice - mine are butterflies & heart/cross/anchor in gold & silver. I thought of the same for his caregiver with some painted suncatchers made by him for both of them. My daughter's teacher is a man - a kinda "non traditional" looking teacher, lotsa tatoos, pearcings & facial hair sculpting - not your typical looking teacher - but he's super nice & friendly - so no necklace for him, but my daughter wanted to make a paper quilling project for him in a sort of shadow box - but time is too short and school ends this Thursday so this has to be done by Wednesday evening. - She said she's choose something for him that suits him, but I have to find the time to get this together - What do you guys think of the paper quilling for a man - does it seem too girly or if it's personal it'll do?

sounds cool to me- and because it is from the heart- it makes it more special!

I don't know what paper quilling is so can't help you with that one.
PS Now I know, very interesting and time consuming but very nice. I think you could make a nice man's gift with that.
