OK..I just took my first load of Belt Creek rocks out of the polish barrel and...nothing..no shine to them at all. They all are very smooth..no pits or anything like that...but did not shine up at all. I am very disappointed!!! Will put them back in for another week to see what happens....sorry..I sure did want to show off some nice pretty rocks..but...you know how it goes.

that happens sometimes, Pho. i've had more than one batch turn up flat. i've tried different polishes, etc. etc, but in the end, i put them in a jar and moved on.

Hmmmm.....wonder if it could be..those Montana rocks just don't like being in Texas...too much of a culture shock for them..

I have had batches just go south. I have tried everything. No results. I have taken to using them as dunnage with outher loads. Sooner or later, they polish. Some are a real bear.

Put them in a fountain so they are always wet and shiny?
