The day started real good and went downhill fast.
I was watering the garden and after about two hours I noticed I had no water pressure. I am on a private water well. I at first thought the sprinkler might have a little clog in it so I shut it down to clean out later as I had more important things to do first.
I went inside and turned on the kitchen sink and...no water!..Hmmm said I.....ants must have shorted out the pressure switch again...which happens often around here...so off to the well shed I go....
Well...as I was about to open the shed I heard water running....
lo and behold..the pressure tank had sprung a big leak...blew out the elbow at the bottom of the tank. So...off I go into town (30 miles one way) to get a replacement tank...after spending a bit over $200 for tank and fittings..I am headed home. About half way home I am driving along minding my own business when....kblam....flop...flop...flop....blew a rear tire. Threw rubber all over the highway....good thing I have a strong bladder....about scared the pee out of me...
So now I am sitting on the side of the road changing my tire.....I got WAY off to the side so no one would hit me...but those fools aim at ya...they go out of their way to get as close as they can....
Got the tire changed after much use of bad words getting the lug nuts off....hopped in the truck and head for home...got home...looked in the back of the truck and asked myself...what did I do with the jack?.....new jack sitting on side of the road. I was more than a little surprised it was still there....
Well....I got the water tank installed...it works with no leaks. Will go in tomorrow and get new tires......it's just been one of THOSE days that I don't want to re-do......
