A blond was getting ready to take a European vacation. She decided to take out a loan from the bank to cover some of her expenses.
She walked into the largest bank in NY City and asked the chief loan officer if she could borrow $5,000 to pay for her trip.
The loan officer informed her that a loan of that amount would require that she put something up for collateral to back the loan. She appeared to think for a while. She then told the officer that she would put her new Mercedes Benz, which was parked out front, up to cover the loan as collateral.
The loan officer was more than happy to make the transaction, knowing that the womans car was worth at least $100,000.
So the loan was given, the car was taken to the underground safe area to sit until the woman returned to pay the loan back, and the blond spent the next two weeks touring all of Europe.
While she was gone, the loan officer at the bank found that the woman was actually a multi-millionaire, and conferred with his partners as to why the woman would have needed to take out a loan in the first place. They were all stumped.
Two weeks later the blond returned to the bank with the $5,000 and also the $15.85 in interest that was added to the loan. The loan officer couldn't help but ask the woman why she had taken the loan, when she clearly could have made due without it.
The blond replied..
Where else , in NY City, could I take my car and park it for two weeks in such a secure spot and only have to pay $15.85 for some one to watch it?
