I'd like to announce the first addition to my family - Luke Richard. Born at home - with my better half with no gas or anything at all to help with pain relief. Which was unplanned but the contractions started too quickly out of the blue to get her in. We made it to the front door then had to go back upstairs as everything went pear shaped Enjoying the open space. About two hours old with Debs. Camera shy Grandma looking after him. Debs is a TOTAL STAR

Something to remember if/when you decide for another, the next one will be even faster.

Mark...I looked at that picture for a very long time and from several angles...he looks just like a baby to me.....and without any rocks in his hands too...what's up with that? Congrats to you and your wife. Take pictures as often as you can and be sure to write on the back so when you get old like me you won't have to rely on memory.... Enjoy the coming years as much as possible...they growl up fast my friend...very fast.

Luke Richard, and born at home! Way to go! Congrats! Looks like all went well. Has time gone that quickly? I think you gonna be a good dad. You already came through! How is Debs? Are you helping too much? Great photos, he looks like a winner to me. Get some rest if you can. You gonna need it. They cry a lot for a while. That is the only way they know to communicate. They also see the world through their mouths. Mind the little things, and things toxic for a while. They are quick little rascals. They get to rest up, and you get wound up, then they grab things. I like the name, it has class and strength. Congrats dad!

Greetings All, Congratulations Mark on becoming a father! He is a beautiful little baby and you should be proud, even though your wife did all the hard work We are expecting our new baby in September, number 3, and seems it will be a girl this time. Actually number 3 isn't her name, just her birth order, although we haven't really settled on a name yet so it could be. Hey this could be a great idea for a new poll, name the baby... . My wife has this thing about wanting to build up our savings account which is why I can't buy any rocks for a while. Oh well, priorities don't 'cha know William C

Gratz to you and the missus on a beautiful baby! Your wife gets big respect from me for having him naturally and at home. She must be a strong woman! I sure couldn't have done it!
