I can't believe this -- I saw a whole lot of these guys in Yellowstone. I thought they were endangered -- only saw them once before in years past! I was watching them across a meadow one time with their legs down in the grass and all of a sudden I got their song in my head: "WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN!"

KD- I think they're looking for bugs. They're also eating the neighbors birdseed which is very funny. Looks like big bird eatting robin food! Puppies - That's so funny. Fits though. They're such pretty birds. I have a 5 lb yorkie that thinks she's a pit bull. One afternoon, I didn't know the birds were out, I let Mystie outside. She saw them birds and took off after them. They didn't fly away, instead they starting coming towards her. Next thing I saw was Mystie running behind me and barking like crazy. The birds starting their scretching. The neighbor came running out to see what the noise was and saw me LMAO and then she started laughing. Was really funny. Tonja

They really do walk like an egyptian. After a long day of hiking and driving I sang and danced walk like an egyptian for a while in the meadow pulloff where I was watching them. They woke us up every morning in the back country.
