Hi All, ROOF TIMBERS The extention is now taking shape with the roof timbers on this week It has been a difficult week as the dormer window (on the front of the house) is difficult to fit in with a lot of awkard angles to cut and line up, But Ian the carpenter (shown) is mastering all that is thrown at him and is still smiling The Velux type window opening on the back roof can be seen through the dormer window opening Here is the progress just about finished just putting in the Valley lead gutters and dormer window trim Hope you can continue to send us some fair good weather for building , from the USA !!!! Thanks ! Thanks for all the comments Jack Yorkshire UK

Looking good, Jack. Dormers and roof match up nicely. If you take the labels off the windows, it'll look like it's been there forever.

Hi Jack - I think it looks great - youve gone through the mill doing that with all the mess etc. But well worth it in the end for certain.
Thanks for sharing - you could do some star gazing with a telescope out of the back skylight?
Cheers and Merry CHristmas. Mark

Hey Jack, I haven't been on line too much so I really didn't see this thread before. Yes, you had yourself quite a project there! Really turned out great. But what I really want to know, is will I be seeing an episode on Discovery channel soon about the archaeological finds that turned up when you were digging the foundation? Hope you and your family are enjoying it!

Hi all,
Thanks for your comments and observations much appreciated
Yes Rich, I forgot to take the labels of the windows in fact they arnt sealed in yet,!! it was a sunny day after a week of fog which looked it could come down at any second, so i took the photo quick !!
Yes Mark, I could try that but I tell my wife I go to bed to sleep not read, I go out like a light and looking into the sky on my back Hmmmm snore snore !!
As regards a saw in the garage my wife is hoping to put her car in there !! ( no harm in hoping I suppose ! )
Ron, Finds, ? I only found some nice opal glass it had been some table lamp I think I will have a go and put it in with the beach glass at a later date the opal effect goes right through the glass as can be seen on a broken edge, never seen any glass like it before.
Jack Yorkshire UK PS Oh I got the first Fix of the electrics in 2 days before Christmas!! a compleation Day !!!?? probaly Christmas 2008 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! J
