I have a question. What is the ratio of saw blade size and the thickness of rock? Meaning what is the maximum rock thickness can I put in say a 10" saw blade? Tami

As long as the blade can emerge from the stone during cutting, you should not fry the blade. A blade needs to have at least windows to clear debris from the cut kerf. I do not reccomend full depth cutting unless it is the only way.

tami i was told that you can go around 1/3 of the blade size so for a 10" blade you would want to stay around 3 to 3-1/2" on the rock size.
