It looks like someone else is on the Texas Parasol group. Those are great shots. I got them last week.

Doc, I got the link from a friend who works at the John Wayne Airport in CA, but as an aviation enthusiast maybe I will check out the aforementioned group!
One of these days I'll be there, either in my (non existent) plane or my van!

What a great tour. Took forever to load, but well worth it.

Great pics of the scenery and planes. I bet that when you fly over some of those places you feel like landing to check things out closer, eh? I know I got that just from looking at the pics. Thanks for the trip!

Very cool BAZ! The aerial photos are stunning. Would be neat to see the country like that. I've always wanted to go to Oshkosh and see the wide variety of planes that make the trip. I love going to air shows in the area - especially the ones where the old war planes are on hand. Its always cool to step back in time and see the evolution of the airplane.

Yeah dtcmor, I miss airshows. They used to have a huge one at El Toro MCAS Calif. when I lived there until the base was closed. There is a small one up here near the Grand Canyon every year and you can take rides in the old warbirds. (for a hefty price!) I keep threatening to hop in the P-51 Mustang every year but haven't saved the dough yet. (too busy buying rocks!!!)

Sands - "never seen rushmore in such a cool way"
Definitely a different look than you always see. Made it look puny. Too bad he didn't swing by Crazy Horse for a pic there. Probably only ten minutes as crows fly.

Baz - I have a friend that helps run our small county airport. Every year they have small flying festival where the public can come out and see the planes (single engine Cessnas and such) and take rides for a small fee. He always contracts from a War bird Museum out of Michigan to have at least one vintage war plane come down for people to see, and they do offer a ride (for a very steep price!!). Two years ago there was a B-17, and last year was a B-25. It is so cool to see these planes up close and how they operate. This year they had to cancel, because of a massive fire at the museum that wiped out more than 50 refurbished planes. My dad and I had been planning a trip to the museum, but had to put it on hold because of this. Hopefully they can salvage a few - they are getting far and few between! I've got some pictures of the B-25. If I can find them, I will post them for you to see - very cool!!
