Well now 1 week later we finally get TV and internet access - after spending the WHOLE week of my "holidays" waiting for people to come and either deliver, fix or do stuff for the new house. I'm partially done the new roman blinds, done the curtains for the door to the yard, I'm in the process of doing the "stained glass" for the bathroom window. We installed all of the window treatments, got a bit of decorating done and got the dishwasher and the central vac installed with the help of my dad. (had to install all the blinds & curtains as I felt naked in that house, nowhere to hide to dress) We never got to sleep in even one day as we had to be up in case someone delivered something and the kids had school (within walking distance Yeah!!!)
Most of the house is set up nicely, the basement is a total mess as we don't yet have a shed and storage has been shrunk quite a bit from what we had before so all the boxes are down there. My rock equipment sits there calling to me to de-clutter around it and get going but I have so much to do still to get everything in.
The satelite guy came in today, dropped his pliers on our new hardwood floors & dinged them. (only 8 days in the new house and already it's showing signs of wear!
) The walls are dinged up from the move and from our, umm, inability to find the damn studs in the wall!
We got our freebie ceramic border done this past Friday, had them do the wall behind the toilet too - it looks amazing.
I never want to move again!!! I'm still looking for stuff and can't wait till we are officially settled in - but mostly I really wanna get the rock stuff out and going.
Can't wait to catch up on everything - so much to look at and so little time. You guys have been busy!
