Way cool slick! I love Triumphs. Especially with a 383/350, and 1986 Vette IRS, Chevette, or Corvair front steering. That will be a lot of work, but, the end product will definately be worth it. The Sunbeam Tiger used the 265 V8, early GM. That made a serious ride. You will have a ball. Looks like very little body rust. Already ahead right out of the gate.

Same way I see it Doc...very little rust or body damage. Once I get all the rat poop and stuff out of the car the real work will begin. Still not sure what color I want it. I am thinking metalic green with tan interior, black top.

Niiiiice! British Green, metalflake, the tan interior will make it. Niiiice. Don't forget the SBC with TH350 race tuned. It will make your day. Those TR6's used to fall apart with the driver in them. It is really rare to find one fairly clean. Rat poop washes out with water. I used to have a 1956 Bug Sprite. That was fun. I had a 1961 MGA Twin cam. I had an Austin Healey 3000 set up for SCCA racing. I also had a 1960 right hand drive Mini. That was a fun car. My favourite was my 1966 Cobra 427FE. Not so good to drive, especially on rainy days. It wouldn't go forward. Just made steam from under the wheels. I started building a Lotus Super 7. Almost had it registered for the road. I got drafted and my father had it towed away to a junkyard. Typical dad stuff for me. Good luck on your TR6, have a ball with it. When you look at the picture of the car on the trailor, you will see why it got slippery on the drive. Weight is a little too far back. Probably just caught a seam in the asphalt on the highway. That is all that is needed when towing. The nose should have been almost against the front rails. Move the spare in front of the rails. The hitch should be a little heavier than the tail. Good luck on your find.

Three minds in the same gutter . . . . . ***GREEN and TAN***
I know this takes more patience than rock tumbling, Pho. Best of luck with it.

The nieghbor had one when I was a kid- Man I loved to see that car- I would go a stare at it for hours- Too bad he had a bit of a booze problem- 6's and booze- do not make a good combo- Wrapped the car around a telephone pole (he was lucky to walk away) Be sure to take a ton of pix as you work on it!

Yup John...this one got metal floors. I can add a new windshield to the list of parts now....cracked the old one trying to get it out. Man...rusted bolts...stuck seals....this thing got it all. Me thinks it gonna be a long, hard project. And the parts list just gets longer each time I go out there. My latest thoughts..strip it to the frame...remove every part I can, get the frame cleaned and powdered.....start with a clean frame and work up from there. Be easier to get the motor and tranny off without the fenders and such on there.....more work but I think it will be worth it in the end. Pho

I love TRs, I learned to drive a stick with my brothers tr7. He use to buy cars like that, fix 'em up and sell them to pay his way thru college. He did a tr6 once and of all the cars he did, he said he wished he kept the tr6 the most. Like stefan said, make sure you take lots of pics along the way. Oh, hows the engine on yours?

Not sure what shape the motor is in. As far as I know it was running when my sister parked the car 20+ years ago. I plan on pulling the motor and tranny and let my mech go thru them both....replace all seals and gaskets, etc. No use in going this far and not taking that extra step...just to be on the safe side.
