Since we moved all my rocks are still wrapped & packed. I haven't been able to do anything with them or even unpack them as the basement is now our storage area since we don't yet have a shed. I, however, had some rings that came in just before we moved so they were close by and ready to unpack... Here's how I've been keeping busy... I bought the watch face at Michaels, I made the bracelet out of bright aluminum rings (which will probably darken later on and I'll have to redo in another material) Only when I'd finished making the bracelet, did something strike me as wrong. Can you spot the problem with the watch? Here's a closeup of the weave - it's called Helm Chain Here is a necklace that I had to try, the one I first saw was made of sterling silver, and since it's pretty expensive, I made this one out of stainless steel - I like the look but the big rings are a bugger to close - but once I soaked my hands in steroids, there was no problem closing those darn rings I had help from Superman! Here's a closeup - you can see where the rings aren,t closed properly. Here's an extreme closeup - NOW you can see the open rings, but you get an idea of how it goes together. any comments welcome I just need some rocks & some space to play with them - but rings are okay too!

You must have some great peepers there tweetie! I don't think I could do such intricate work. Very nice!!
hmmmmm is it that the minute and hour hands are out of sink? Maybe just camera angle, but me thinks when the minute hand makes it up to the 12 the hour hand will be past the 10? Bill

The three rings in the center, just under the watch band are too large. The top three are in symmetry. Tweety, you made is, so you see it. If it was on my counter, sooner or later it would sell and no one would be the wiser. That is what handmade is all about. That is what makes handmade so special. I had to really look at the band, several times. I even hoped someone would spot it so I could say I did also. That is a lot of linking.

Wonderful rings!! Did you forget the clasp? I can not see what Doc is saying so if it's wrong, nobody will know! Tonja

Bill you hit it right! the hour hand is too early, if it's 6 o'clock, the hour hand is already past six
doc the rings at the watch I made like that, small & big - looked a little better, coiled wire would be better, but I didn't have any on hand.
I did add a clasp, but it didn't make it in the picture.
