Hey all. This is the desk that put me back to work. I brought this desk to the refinishing shop I used to work at to see how much it would cost just to have them strip it for me and, well, you know the rest of the story. Anyway, I wound up stripping it and sanding it at work, then brought it home and stained and finished it and delivered it over this past weekend. It was pretty grungy looking when I picked it up and the owner really liked it and even asked if it was the same desk when I delivered it. Come to think of it, it was the check I got for this job that started the mess with the ATM. So here it is, the desk from Hell.

Man... is that desk cursed or something? Sounds like it is... I mean.. first it made you get a 'real' job again ... and then the whole ATM check deposit thing that wasted a bunch of your time.. I bet your happy to get it done and out the door. Looks like you did a great job on the refinishing though.. you sure are talented man... I've seen one of your guitars and other things you've done... pretty impressive considering you're a fantastic cabber as well..... Got any other hidden talents we don't know about?

Thanks everyone. I forgot to take the before pictures and in this case I should have. The lady used this desk everyday for 25 years and she used to smoke. There were coffee cup stains and deep scratches and dents all over the piece. Good thing it was solid maple because I had to do some heavy sanding to clean it up.
