I'm an avid paranormal enthusiast. Lots of good groups out there for sure. Try listening to some of the EVP's. Some will scare the bejeebers out of ya LOL

Cool Pho! Our town has quite a few places listed there, some I knew about and some I didn't. Our favorite bar is haunted (not listed) it is inside the Hotel Weatherford. (built over a hundred years ago) Haven't seen anything yet, but I know a lot of barteneders who have told me their story!

Just got finished reading all of AZ and CA and I'll have to say that I have the creeps, all alone downstairs in the office. What are EVP's Xena? Not that I want to hear anything freaky right now!
The story that set it all off for me were the ones of ghosts killing/hurting people in Anthem, AZ! Nope, if I ever see a ghost it had better be Casper.
Been in the presence of, and seen stuff moving that shouldn't, but I have never seen a form. I think I'd have a heart attack if I did. No really!

Very cool, though some seem far generalized, still fun to read. They missed one in Mesa, AZ though. The Mesa Tribunes Print roll warehouse. I used to work for them, tending the print. After the first month I thought what I was seeing and experiencing had to do with working the third shift. Then I asked the night shift leader who had been working there over 25 years. "anything strange happen in the warehouse?" His eyes went white and said nobody has talked about that for over 15 years. Then I explained to him that I was seeing an old man in blue coveralls walking around in the warehouse. I followed him one time, {thinking he was a vagrant} into a back corner were there’s only one way in. I was about 20 feet behind him, but when I got to the back row, that lead to this corner, there was nobody there.
Many times I would see feet and lower legs in the press room, next to the warehouse were we loaded the print. And when I looked around the columns that we loaded print onto, there would be nothing, but I would see the feet and legs walking in the next row. Followed it many times thinking it was another guy on shift. And each time it would be nothing.
Another time, I was charged and pushed back by something. I was sweeping the floor, and when I straighten my head up, it hit me and knocked me back.
I kept asking the manager what went on, and kept getting crap from other workers about its nothing. But the day manager ask me in one day and showed me documents and photos of an old guy who owned the land the warehouse and part of the press is built on. The tribune fought for years to buy his land, and he would never budge. Until his death. The creepy thing was the photo he worth blue coveralls.
My last day was months later, at the end of the run. I was cleaning the floor, working down near were the main entrance into the warehouse from the press room was. He was standing in the entrance with his back to me. Then he turned and looked at me. I was standing about 15 feet away and again thought it was a vagrant because that would often happen during the winter months. The warehouse is open and it is warmer in there. I myself had to keep out a couple for sleeping. But I went to follow him again, turned the corner and he wasn’t there. Got chills and turned back around to go to back into the press room.
The last column which is never active, but closest to this spot, had flames and sparks flying out of the gear box which is part of the main gear shaft that drives the press. I ran over and hit the stop press button[which rarely happens, and only once before in my 6months working for them]. The shift leader came down and I show him the smoking gear box.
After finishing up some other duties, he took me aside and gave me a big thanks for stopping the press when I did. As if this box failed, it not only would of severally damaged the press. IT could of hurt several people upstairs. That was my last day. They still call me back a couple times a year, butt I rather not.

EVP's are electronic voice phenomenon...basically a recording device is placed in a room where no one is ( or on a grave stone or whatever) and the folks check back later and voices are on there. Another way is to carry the recorder with you and ask questions and be quiet. Later when you listen to the tape you may hear answers to your questions... I went this past weekend with friends to the haunted walk tours of our region - they have some pretty impressive stories - the guide was talking at some point and had mentioned that she was freaked out because this was the first time she was the last group to enter the haunted building (a museum that can be visited during the day) She mentioned folks hearing footsteps & hearing stuff. As she was talking, a door slams! Scared the $%?/ out of us! Then I heard a baby (I wasn't the only one) and as she was discussing something, I kept turning around behind me, my friend asked me what was wrong, I asked if there was anyone left in the room behind us (we were at the top of the stairs) she said no, (I was hearing footsteps) I turned around a few times, asked again if there was anyone behind them - no - then my friends are talking and the guide asks them what's wrong - one mimes someone walking and the steps stop! I know these may all be things "fixed" the effects are good and well done. I'm not the only one to hear the footsteps and my friend saw the door close (we had our backs turned) and noone was behind it (another special effect) it was neat
They mentioned a restaurant & hotel in Ottawa that is haunted - we want to go eat there - I don't think we'd be able to sleep in the hotel room though!
Pretty cool tour - about 2 hours of walking & talking & ghost stories...

One of the places listed in Houston is right down the road from me...less than 2 minutes drive. The Old Greenhouse Road spectre...I'll have to look for her next time I drive accross the bridge on that road at night!!
