I received an invitation from Mark, in a round about request, to let you know I have a new web site. It is banjo-creek.com don't forget the 'dash', the domain name with out it was already taken. Most of the photos and such, you have seen since I have posted everything here first. Any suggestions or improvements you can think of would be appreciated. (You are my best critics you know) I will try to upgrade and keep it relevant. If you have an idea, I may be able to implement it, but I am not real 'web page savvy, so don't hold your breath. In this area, I am definitely a newbie Thanks for your support! banjo-creek.com

Hey Banjo. Got your new site bookmarked. Didn't go thru it yet, but looks good. There's a few spelling and grammer errors on the front page, no big deal though. You play a mean harp dude. How long you been playing? I've been in blues bands most of my adult life(Adult? What's that?) and I always like jamming with a good harp. Ever in a band? Hope all is well on your end, it's good to see you on the board again.

Thanks Stoner- I been playing harp since I was 16. Used to drive groceries for a little country store to customers in a car with no radio, so I blew a harmonica while I drove. Those first years, it's a good thing I was in a car on the road, preferably with the windows up, if you catch my drift. I'll have to run that front page through 'spell check' or something. Hopefully I can hunt down the mistakes and fix em'. Thanks for pointing them out

Nice site Banjo! You put a lot of thought & heart into your site. I look forward to coming back and seeing more of your GREAT wire wrapping projects. If only ours came out as nice.

WTG Michael, you've done a lot of work, great content too! The only problem I have is the darn scroll bar on the bottom, it's hard to read when you're trying to slide it back and forth. Love your pendants, you really do nice work ... great inspiration for the rest of us.

I think the pages are set up for a 17" monitor. Maybe that is why the scroll bar is a pain. I didn't know whether I sould make them more narrow or not. Problem being, I am using a 20" monitor when I build it an i am not used to having to compress the width to view stuff. Let me work on that.

I have a 17 in monitor. It has to do with the resolution. I have mine set up at 800 x 600 resolution, mainly because from what I read, that is still the most common setting so I do all my web pages to fit that. If you change your settings, you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about with the scroll bars. That's one thing I learned to do with designing sites, check all the variables ... including looking at it in Internet Explorer and Netscape. I'll be the first to admit, I don't know everything but will be happy to offer any help I can if you have any questions.

So does that mean all of the pages have to be 800 wide, and subtract the width of the sidebar, so that would be sort of like 600 wide or so? would that stop the need to scroll sideways? Thanks, I'll take all the help I can get ;D

One thing you could try is to put all the stuff in the right frame inside of a table. Set the table width to 600, that might contain everything without having to make any other changes.

OK I'll give the 'table' thing a whirr, if I can figure out how. Patience is a vitrue, thanks

banjo i love them all but that cross is very attractive even without a stone on it. did you get that out of the "moods in wire" book? you really have a knack with the wire wrapping. that faceted sodalite is so good!

Yes, The Moods in Wirebook gave me the pattern and it looks a lot better finished that I thought it would, and then I started fooling around with the cross concept and got this... The next one I do I think I'll alternate Silver and Gold.

That is beautiful! I was messing around with trying to wrap wires ... what a major pain that is, and I was only wrapping three together. Once I got two on the others were fairly easy, but that first one is a bugger. I'm really impressed with your work, great job!!

I'm still trying to get Hobbs to hold the pecil correctly. He holds it more like a spoon than a pencil, and beside that his printing is still a little obscure, but his cursive just flat out sucks.
