Man, this is just way too early. And with it not supposed to get above freezing until early next week, I guess a white Halloween is guaranteed around here. -Don

Hubby is in Canada at the moment, its been a bit of a shock to the system for him In our part of the UK we usually only get a little sprinkling that usually melts within a day or so ! What part of Canada are you in ?

Man I feel for you! We got the gusting winds here this past weekend and it was MISERABLE, I heard you guys got the white crap and I'm hoping no more will fall all winter.
The farmer's Almanach says one thing and the meteorologists say another. I wanna believe the people that say no snow and mild weather

I probably should have been born an Eskimo. I'm soooo jealous you got snow.
I know, I know...ya'll probably think I'm off my rocker...but I LOVE snow & cold weather.

Yep, it was definitely a white Halloween. Air temp about 20F (-6C), at trick-or-treat time, with a stiff breeze that put the windchill at 5F (-15C), and about 6 inches of snow on the ground. I walked the beat with my daughter and a friend of hers, with me dressed in ski pants and a winter jacket. I would definitely have preferred it MUCH warmer, but kids seem rather oblivious to the cold when there are large amounts of candy to be had. Rose -- I am in Edmonton (central Alberta, 4 hours east of Jasper -- I think you are familiar with that part of Canada from a visit to these parts?). Liz -- Yup, you are off your rocker. ;D Kim -- 55F would be much appreciated here. It's still quite do-able, I think the record high for today is 71F. Just seems that we have been running much closer to record lows than record highs for much of the past month. -Don

You know you live in Canada, when your Halloween costume is fitted to accommodate a snow suit underneath...
