I am so excited I can barely contain myself. My dad went to True Value looking for one of those tile saws they had on sale. He met some friends that he used to work for and they said they had a couple of rock saws that they weren't using anymore. My dad called me up and asked me if I wanted to see them. Of course I did, so he picked me up and we went out to their house. First they showed me a gravity feed saw that was quite big. Then they asked what I was going to be doing and I said some cutting and cabbing, he said well I have this over here. I was an 8" rock saw with a resivoir for the oil, and a weighte pulley for the feed, next to it was a grinding wheel and on the end was a buffing wheel with a leather pad on it. I asked how much do you want for it, and he said well since you dad had done so much for us you can have it, all I want is the motor and the diamond grinding wheel (no biggy), I can get another one. The saw combo also came with a bench with all the necessary holes in it for the drain and the belt that goes from the motor to the shaft. As soon I my dad and I get it set up I will send you all pictures. Tami

I should add that my dad gave my old Buick to their son to turn into a race car. He won many a races with my old car. So I guess you could consider this a good trade, tho many years in between.

My mother already has plans for me to cut slabs and she make a mosaic out of it with a light under it to show off the stones. Tami

Only if I am able to buy a house or building close to home to put it in, my parents are running out of room. Tami
