I have an acquaintance whose dad owns a jewelry store and I told him I like tumbling. He then said that his dad had several industrial tumblers around he doesn't use and asked if I was interested. I said I was interested in tumbling. But he must have thought that I wanted the tumbler, and now told me that his dad was cleaning it up. Now I feel bad because he said that, and I was never interested, he said that it would be for a couple hundred.

Anthony, I often get folks over that just want to sell me their rocks. Becasue i keep biusness cards at a local mining store. I enjoy helping ID the rocks, but for some reason the folks get it in their mind somehow that i want to buy their rocks. And everytime they come over with them, im like, Who told you that? What can you do except tell them upfront and try and be nice about it. The key is though its a bummer to be put in that situation, be hounest, becasue most people understand. Commincation breakdown is one of the biggest problems in just about everything nowadays.

He should have talked to you personally and specifically. Sounds to me that he made a few assumptions, it's not your fault bud. Just because I told my neihbor that I like his house, doesn't mean that I'm moving in!
