What does it mean when you've just spilt rum and coke over youre key board. Please remember I'm in Australia, and it"s 7.00 pm over here and I've just had a long day at work.

It means you've wasted a perfectly good rum and coke. And you will probably fry your keyboard as things dry and the keys get all stuck up (I did that by spilling a beer on my keyboard awhile back). At least keyboards are relatively cheap. -Don

I feel better now. Don't know if it was 'cause of your post, or 'cause I poured a fresh drink. It's all good.

I was at my computer repair shop last week , and they were fixing something that. They try first unhooked from computer, put it in water, to flush out any liquid. then completly dry it out. If it is not used wet there is a good chance it will be O.K. Dry it out, dry it out, Time, a blow dryer what ever, it has to be good and dry before you use it again. Have a spare key board for back up. Good luck.

I've heard the same thing granny's talking about, guess it can't hurt to give it a try.

I had a calculator at work that someone spilled a pop on so some of the keys were always sticking. One day I spilled my water on it. I flipped it over to "drip dry" overnight. The next day, the keys worked perfectly, no more sticking!

Back in the '70's, at Three Mile Island, Coke was spilled on the keyboards. The ultimate result was almost the total genocide of a major population center, and an hole to the core of the earth. Hang on, we might be reading about you.

lol! Lots of lol! Lets just say that my spare keyboard, is now my "all the time" keyboard, and my husband now gives me a little raise of the eyebrows when ever he sees me taking my "it's been a damn long day " drink into the computer room. kattom
