That's a good first try Steph! It takes a lot of 'playing' and messing with but you can really get some good results. It looks as if you might have saved the picture in the 3D mode. The 3D mode does not show you the true colors or photo quality picture of what you have created - it is more of just a guide to go by while you are creating your pics. Next time go into the rendering settings (this would be in the top of the left sidebar - the top button that looks kind of like a computer monitor in the picture) and place everything on the highest detail levels. Next set the picture size to about 800x600 and then hit the 'Render' button below the grey square block. This will show you a miniature true rendering of what you have created. If you don't like what you have done, you can then go back and change things until you get them right. I always do this and then re-render it every time to see that the changes are what I like. When you are done, hit the bottom render button (the one below the sizing button) and this will render your true picture. Depending on what all you have added to the scene and the amount of detail - it may take anywhere from a couple of minutes to even as long as 15-20 minutes for the rendering to complete. As far as adding that fish, I am still working on finding some programs that will let you do that. The closest I have gotten is my photo landscape design program that will let you add stuff to a saved (bitmap or jpeg) file. When you save your final rendering- use the small save button below the same last render button - this will let you save a file (bitmap or jpeg) that can be sent to a photo editing program. you might be able to add your fish there also. Hope this helps you a little. There are also some tutorials on the web site (Terragen) that can help you learn more about some of the functions and are worth checking out for more ideas. Good luck!! Once you start getting it down it will become addictive!!

Looks like you're getting the hang of it! It is alot of fun - It's just finding the time to do it that's hard!
