The Fort Apache plastic figure set when I was 6, got to go along with the Orange also. But mostly the kids, this is will be the first Christmas without anyone under 16 in the house, and it is just not the same.

Christmas wish lists from my kids, cutting out, baking & frosting cookies for 3 days, shopping the day after Thanksgiving, eggnog with brandy or spiced rum, bringing up the boxes of decorations & decorating the tree, playing Christmas music when opening presents but everyone moans and groans when I insist that we listen. This will probably be the first Christmas morning WITHOUT kids (one has moved out, the other 2 will be with their other parents).

Last minute items, cooking, cleaning, Christmas at Disney, then Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede. Christmas eve with his side of the family and Christmas day with mine. All the rush and crazyness, just to be over to soon. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All!!

wrapping presents the night before when the kids are pretending to sleep, little clementine in the stockings, hot chocolate as the kids open the presents and listening to christmas songs on the RECORD PLAYER (you know those big black discs with the label in the centre...?)

Songs on the record player where you sing with the skips, boots on the porch in the begining of December, my sisters and I all on one giant pallet Christmas Eve so we don't peek, stockings, coffee for Dad in the morning...

Supper at Gramma and Grampa's house. Lutafiske, mashed potato's, lefsa, bread and lots of butter on everything. Then a late candle light church service. The coming together of family and friends to celebrate Christ.

Leggos and socks, a crisp new 50 dollar bill from Pop-Pop, Hoagies (how that became a Christmas Eve tradition I will never know!)

Cold kisses from little ones. Never waliking outside and felling safe from snow balls. Teens that rember is it ok to smile and lots of love!
