I've been considering for some time, about where I want to locate myself in the not to distant future. Definitely want to sell off everything except my Roscommon County property here. I was seriously looking at Alaska, but the better half says I'll be going there alone. She wants warm weather, I want snow. This is one area we are seriously considering. The areas in these photos are just an hour from our son, where it never snows. somewhere close to this may definitely be a possibility! www.tahoesnowmobiling.org/Ph05/05Ph1of2.htmlRon ps. I still think that I want to return to Roscommon County for the summers.

An hour from your son with accessible snow when you want it? What could be better, looks perfect to me.

I found 2016 acres 900 miles North-Northwest of Fairbanks. 25,000$ I am in the same issue, wifey says go alone. If I weren't married, I would be there. Being married, I assumed a responsibility of conduct. I am from Alaska, and I miss home. She is from LA. The land of Fruit and Nuts. She is the poster child. I lived off the land for 4 yrs up there. It would be like falling out of bed. Her idea of roughing it, the gardener did not show up today. Bummer, what to do? She got divorced 10yrs ago, it is taking this much time for her to realize we do not have a gardener. I am not people friendly, I just need the clothes on my back. That is how I went in for those 4yrs. I came out mostly dead, but I loved it. Especially, no people! I miss home. What is an Alaskan doing in Floriduh anyway?

That looks like a good compromise Ron. Is it snowy up there all year? I know you'd like the Colorado high country but there is no warm country up there at all!!
