Well, it happened. Last night a glacier formed in Colorado! In my driveway. Yup, an average of 2 feet fell, with large drifts. Ron, bring that Snowcat and rescue me! No one can get out of here. Here's some pics of my world today. The back door Anyone wanna take a dip in the tub? What? No enthusiasm. Ok, almost there After all this shoveling I need a hot tub! I'm ready to party!Where are ya? A shot in the yard The scene outside my front door This is where I left my car? Neighbors car And at the end, a reasonably smooth snow sphere. Now to sneak up on that neighbor!

OMG Joe, I feel so bad for you and everyone else out there. What a horrible thing to happen now with people trying to travel for the holidays. The whole thing totally missed us up here, we don't have enough snow for Santa to travel with his sled. Not that I'm complaining, not one bit ... hope I didn't aggrivate the snow gods with that one. They are threatening 2 or 3 inches tomorrow but I'm still hoping it will miss us.

2 or 3 inches? What? In an hour maybe!! No, it's over and the sun came out around 2 this afternoon. Everyone cheered! They cancelled over 600 flights at the airport yesterday. What's travel? Cher, look at the forth pic up from the bottom. On the right side of the pic, on my neighbors grey house, do you see the radon mitigation system? It's the yellowish pipe going up. It's important to keep the tub clear Rally!! You know how sore I am after all that shoveling? I NEED the tub.

Hey Joe, some guys have all the luck! You wouldn't believe how much the lack of snow here is affecting people. It may sound strange, but most people that live around me, are partly here because they love the snow. The other reason we live here is because we simply want to disappear, but that's another story. Not much business around here, but what little there is, depends heavily on the snow to bring "snow lovers" to the area. No snow means financial hardship for them. When we do get dumped on with a major storm, the snowmobilers here always step forward to help anyone who is in distress first, before we go out and play. If I was there Joe, I'd be right there for you, and I'd love every minute of it!
Take care and be careful! Ron

Yep, AZ got (a very small) portion of that white stuff. Several inches to a foot in various areas. Unfortunately the storm trapped my parents in Moriarty, NM for a night as they were on the way here from Oklahoma.
Call me crazy, but I'd love to have all of that snow on the ground here Joe! I'm with Ron and Liz in the Snow Lover's Club!

I made sure I was warm and comfy and had a house full of food before this hit. We had all sorts of warning for it. So no hardship here! I had a great time today. Yeah it was a lot of work but the wind carves the snow into such cool lookin' formations that it's fun to look at everything in a new light. I took over 100 pics today! That digital camera just spoils you. Wish I could have you here for a bit Ron! That Snowcat would be fun now. People are using snow mobiles, skis, and snowshoes to get around today. Of course it will all melt out in a week or two but for now you'd have a ball! The ski areas are ecstatic, we have a lot of tourism that depends on snow here also. Yeah Edog... I try to complain about it, but I love it!! For the rest of you snow lovers, I have enough here to give to all of you. Anybody have a quantum nuclear thingy that can displace all this snow? Other than my old snow shovel!

You are too funny Joe! After looking at your pics I just want to jump on the couch with a bunch of good magazines and get ready to hibernate for the winter! LOL! The weather here is Iowa is unusually warm for the 1st day of winter. We have had thunderstorms and just cold rain. But hey I don't have to shovel it! LOL! I really don't mind the winter. I just hate it when it's colder outside than inside my freezer! LOL! I just hate all those cloudy, gloomy winter blue days. I need more light! Turning on all the lights inside and outside the house.

Joe
I guess I'm a little? crazy, but I want my snow on a Christmas card. Rocky can have it in her part of MS but keep it out of my area. Bah Snowbug.
Merry Christmas to all.
