Just wanted to show off my new paintings I got for Christmas, my Mom painted the palm tree and my Aunt painted the desert sunset. I also got a vibratory tumbler, now I just have to learn how to use it. Does anyone else have anything they want to share with the rest of us?

Those are cool paintings! I really like the second one a lot. All I got for Christmas this year was a blizzard. Three feet of snow, no mail delivery, no travel! What a year. If Santa ever gets through all he's bringing me is a new snow shovel!!

Nope, you don't look too thrilled.
If it makes you feel better I got socks and thermal underwear.
Also a book on aviation, one on rocks and a warbirds calendar for my birthday.
Great colors in those paintings, I'm sure they are priceless treasures for the family.

I got a book on statistical models, and a Rock Rascal. I am already planning on how to set up the rock roscal with an end-plate extension so I don't need to finish refurbishing my big unit.
I think I can put a magnetic master-lap with 1/2" recessed bore on the arbor if I do not put too wide a wheel on the unit. I'll post when I get the layout figured out.

Great Paintings Jamie! We don't do too much for Xmas but I did get some Prairie Agate, Antelope Jasper and a new backpack which I really needed as my old one was a mess! I have to backpack rocks out of my poppy jasper site in winter as my truck won't make it through the mud and creeks. And, I got a new falconer's gauntlet which is great because Luna, the Great Horned Owl, pierced the old one with her talons leaving a nice hole in both the glove and my hand *L*.......mel

I got a 10th anniversary edition of Tickle Me Elmo...and I just love him. Kind of strange for a lady in her 50's, huh? But no one has ever called me normal! Life is about the simple things!

Thanks for all the compliments on the paintings. I don't paint that well on canvas, I'm great at getting it everywhere else though.

The second painting was a Dale Terbush that I have always liked so my aunt reproduced it for me, both her and my Mother make it look so easy so I get inspired to go and buy a canvas to screw up once in a while.

I got a new circular saw to replace an old worn out one (nothing to do with rocks). Also, we got a small box of rocks from some friends who recently moved to New Mex. They look very interesting and I'm hoping that the weather stays or gets warm enough to try cutting some on the Workforce.
