Can you believe, I wasn't involved?
I don't think that SirRoxalot was that bad about it all.
The only cross thing, I see he said was,
His post was kind of like when I posted the pics. of my Amethyst cathedrals, and I got taken to school by someone that pointed out that they were not cathedrals but chunks of Amethyst.
I'm just glad I didn't do it this time... ;D
Shain needs to come back and join again. He is an asset to this board

I have to say he is an asset to this board and I am very sad he is not posting and sharing with us but I can fell what has gone down who gives a rats a$$ in a barn fire about spelling I can type like a 2nd grader on gummy bears why must we nit pick? We are all brothers and sisters lets love one another because there is enough bad mouthing in real world.. I heard something from a very wise woman *My Mom* if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all!! I am not saying we can not disagree on stuff we learn from that but maybe we could show a little more love and understanding. Ok I am done spewing now

I think that at first Shain took offense at what SirRocksAlot said about Pseudos having no place in lapidary and that they're ugly (..has he never seen TigerEye?.. yes SRA.. TE is a Pseudomorph!) .. when Shain's original post was about how he loves Pseudos!! I mean... if someone came on here posting pics of rocks and I replied saying that they were ugly... well. ...and then the guy starts bashing Shain.. spelling and grammar and such. I mean.. give me a break! This isn't the 'junior grammar sheriffs' message board. ...and obviously SRA is no expert on Pseudomorphs so he had no business speaking as an authority on either subject.
....and since then he hasn't apologized to Shain at all.. at least not publicly. Now I'm thinking that Shain will not be back.. and that's not cool.

well crap, lost another one and shain was a contributor. He helped me get my cabs in shape and had a wealth of info to share. I hope he comes back after he cools his jets a little

boy i hope he comes back....when i first joined ...his contests were so hard it was crazy...but when trying to find answers....i found out so much more about rocks...never the answer ;D..but while looking for the answer...learned a ton ;D. he also turned my son on to coconut geodes...which he ruined 2 blades cutting them up in 1 week...thanks for that shain  shain there at least 1 kid that looks up to ya...and read your posts every chance he gets..or at least used to...his geode box for his birthday made his day...but cost again 2 blades ;D. not to mention his old crumbled up dad...that really learns from you posts....kev. |

Sorry E...I gotta dissagree with ya & ya know how I hate to dissagree  ! The tone that was taken by SRIA...oopps! SRA was too harsh. It also wasn't the first time he spoke too hard about a subject. I was one of those that also recieved his pleasant thoughts and ramblings. Daniel is soooo correct. He was being a jerk. Again. I'm not saying he's a BAD MAN. He's probably a very nice man with some. Just kinda seems that when someone is prone to verbally attacking or degrading someone elses likes or disslikes...maybe ya aught to not be around sooo many that HAVE differences of opinion like we do here. Where's the attack gonna land next time? |

I think this whole thing just arose out of a misunderstanding. I didn't find SRA's initial post at all inflammatory -- he just seemed to be questioning whether the term "pseudomorph" was being used properly. A few misunderstandings later, from both sides, and the fur was flying.
What burns me about this kind of thing (and this current situation has been repeated many times over the 2.5 years that I have been on this forum) is how people often feel they must leave this forum if they are verbally attacked even once.
In my way of thinking, there are some 1300 people on this forum, so one attacker equals less than 0.1 percent, or less than one person in a thousand, of the members on this forum. Surely it doesn't come as any surprise that someone won't find at least one person in a thousand who seriously disagrees with them about something they post here?
I wish folks would just shrug this kind of thing off, and get back to talking rocks.
Those are my two cents.
