Ok, I came back because of so many emails from allot of members here at RTH. I thank you all for your kind words and comments and do appreciate your concern. But I also came back to clarify who I am and why I left to begin with. This issue I had with SRA was only the tipping point in RTH, and not the full reason on why I left.
What SRA stated was simply disrespectful and mean spirited when all I was doing was providing real “rock” content in the form of an interesting post. Now I am not one to ask allot of questions in this trade because when those arise, I am able to find my answer real fast through many sources. So if anyone really notices here at RTH, is I really tried to provide true means of learning something new. Generally this was taken in well, but there have been other instances were new and seasoned members acted in passive aggressive ways, and were just as disrespectful as SRA was which tipped me to leave.
And to be totally honest, over the years and years in the trade and running my own business in it. Often seasoned, experienced old timers give me allot of kudos for doing what Im doing at my age, with only my single drive to do it. However the same age group of inexperience people in the trade often give me a heavy stink eye. I suppose because often I come off like I know everything. Well, I don’t, I just try to give more than I take. And sometimes I suppose that can come off as stepping on someone’s toes, when I am a minority in the lament since.
Believe it or not, I am a very tolerant person, my tone when typing in something that comes off differently however. So the point is when someone has nothing good to say, or wants to change the subject of the intended posters lane, please do it in a respectful way. SRA did it in a very disrespectful way and instead of building on a subject and making it two, he opted to insult me and not address the post at hand. Plus he did it in a way were it showed he didn’t have all the facts, which further degrades and makes his point un necessary. But that doesn’t mean a new topic couldn’t be started.(that’s how I do it)
Lastly the icing on the cake was the fact RTH seems like an un-moderated place. As a member of many other forums, rock and non-rock related. I first hand have seen the difference with RTH and other moderated places with allot of posts. Furthermore I found out this has happen before with SRA and yet still he is able to continue the seemingly go off track with heated arguments. In my opinion the moderation of this board could of taken care of this dispute simply by paying attention, and either starting a new thread on “what is a sudo”, or stepping in and moderating the topic by informing both of us its going off topic. Now to me, there’s no excuse for a large group, being un-moderated. As well, that moderation should not just keep the board safe from spammers and the like, but be involved in topics too so to keep posts on track so new members don’t get pushed away. I know we all have not enough time in the day, but that’s were people need to stand up and take the role. And though Dons point is valid about how few people leave when such things happen. The deeper point is this is still a public place were anyone can read and make up there own mind, or continue the rumor mill running. As I looked back over my original post and see a few responds from members I don’t know. Who stated this board may not be a place for them. So again, RTH loose out in the long run, and that means everyone that uses it daily.
This instance was a build up from other instances were I felt disrespected by new and seasoned members. I don’t know about you, but when all your doing is trying to build on the forum, and not take from it. It can really hurt when your disrespected. Especially by members who are well liked. And because I could not moderate SRA, and in my eyes, didn’t deserve being attacked and disrespected unless I started it. It was easy to remove myself than go crying to Mark to do something about SRA, that should have been done before this instance in my opinion. What would you do? Because I would not of left and brushed it off it all I do on this board is read and ask questions. What the hell do I know? But it does bit me in the foot in places like RTH when I know allot and want to share. However that may now be far and few between because SRA has not been the only member of this board who was disrespectful and unwilling to provide true means of discussion. I don’t know were it will come from next. Though I know everyone that emailed me asking me back wont disrespect me, that’s still a small percentage to the amount of members in the group as don points out. And as a member myself, I shouldn’t have to wonder that. IT should be moderated.
I wont go into all the details about who does what in a disrespectful manner. But I think the important thing for everyone to realize about who I am, is, I try to share in everything I do with rocks(when I have time), I only want to make the trade a stronger place(lapidary), and though I can come off rather stern in my replies, or original topics. I try and do it in a positive manner so RTH in general is a better place for new members and old ones alike to learn something new. If you feel all I have done here at RTH is take, than maybe I shouldn’t be here. But it’s the only reason I can come up with besides me being a young know-it-all, on why I have been disrespected in this group. So please know I am back, but I may be quite for a long time and not so willing to provide new content or reply to many posts. I will always answer questions that are directed at me if I see them, or get a PM. But ive personally got a sour taste in my mouth from RTH, and Im not going to spit all over my computer.
I do want to thank everyone who cared and wanted me to come back. I will promise to watch myself closer and brush it off if a next time arises. I thank you all very much and hold you all deeper in my heart.

I'm so glad you came back. I look for your posts all the time because I learn from them. I know if I post something with a question, you usually come to the rescue. Please don't let the minority spoil it for the majority!!!
