Anyone else here use Firefox for a browser? I just installed a newer version (2.0.0.1) and was totally amazed to find that it has a built in spell checker. Kind of like in Word, if you misspell something it underlines it so you know. I found it by accident when I typed WTG and it underlined it in red. I was like, how cool is this. It doesn't correct it for you but it should remind you to use the spell checker. I've always been impressed with Firefox and think this is a great addition to the program.

There is no button, it's checking as I type. I was typing in the quick reply box when I first noticed it doing that. It's like anywhere you type, it's checking as you go.

Yea, but does it offer you a selection of words that you may be trying to spell? If not, how do you fix it if you don't know how to spell?

I have it, where is the spell check button? Click on "Edit", go down and click on "Options". Click on the "Advanced" tab. Make sure that the box is checked in front of "Check spelling as I type". Ron

Cher I use firefox - my reason was because IE was always crashing - I tried everything to correct the problems but to no avail - loaded firefox and havent looked back since.
Also - I reviewed the new IE (7?) - didnt like the layout at all so its looking like firefox for the future.

If I download Firefox, can I delete I.E.? Does it cause any conflicts when starting up the computer? I've heard of many people changing to it and was thinking about it myself. Tonja

Tonja, unless you have a really small harddrive with little space left, I wouldn't even worry about deleting IE. Not to mention, there are some sites that will absolutely not work with anything else so just keep it and ignore it. Install Firefox and then go to options, read through them to set things up how you like and make sure you set Firefox as the default browser. I have IE, Netscape and Firefox on my computer, they don't bother each other at all.
