Ok Ron. I know you need the snow. The sun came out yesterday so I risked life, limb, and falling on my keister to venture out onto the tundra to bring you these pics. So come with me on a short walk near my home. About a quarter mile from my house we get on a dirt trail. Well, usually! That leads to the "Official" Trailhead. Walking along Lookin' back the way we came The Dam View The college football stadium We even have a snow delivery service. Need any? Going home That's it. I'm toast. Next time we take the Snowcat!

Hey Joe, it looks like you've had some wind over that snow as well. Hey, you just gotta love it! At 8:20 last night I was outside and it was -5 degrees F here. This morning we got 3 inches of snow. I took the TCat out for a little spin. Got about 2 miles from home and my helmet visor started icing up. We had a fog roll in and with the temp only being 10 degrees F at the time, it was freezing on everything. I kept stopping and knocking it off my visor, but the problem was getting worse. Finally couldn't see anything, so I opened my visor and put my red sunglasses on. Rode the last few miles home with my visor open. Glasses saved my eyes, but I came dangerously close to frostbite in my cheeks. My lower face is covered by my breather, kind of like a jet fighter. Needless to say, I was glad to get home. Waiting to see what happens now. There's saying maybe some freezing drizzle. No thanks, I'm not riding in any more of that crap!

Yeah Stef, some people ski it. We don't usually have snow on the ground this long so you can't do it often. Ron, the third blizzard consisted of 80mph winds blowing 3 ft. of loose snow around. Yuck!! It does create some interesting snow sculptures as it melts. Cold and snow are not my thing! Ice storms really bite. I haven't been in one for a long time and I hope to keep it that way. Stay home and feed the finches!

They DO advise drinking liberal amounts of alcohol. Purely for medicinal purposes! The suns shining so it's ok to be outside. It's about 35 out at 9~10 am in these pics. As long as you are in the sun you can wear a short sleeve shirt. If a cloud comes by suddenly, you die of hypothermia! The price of Paradise!!
