LOL. January has had the strangest weather. First part of the month we were having 70 degree weather and people put all their Winter clothes away and got out the t-shirts and shorts. This morning It was 20 degrees with a breeze and colder up in the hills. I was buying gas and one woman was in short sleeves complaining that she didn't know what happened to the weather and she didn't have anything warm to wear this morning. I told her, "Ummm, well, it IS January."

Ummm....SD you have noticed what your screen name is, right? It does sort of sound like cold is the norm for you.
If you were Chihuahua-trapped-in-a-snowdrift then I'd worry.

Snowdog - have you looked out your window lately? It was clear when you wrote your post, and it was clear at supper time, but now the ground is covered in snow. Nice wx.

Hey Stefan, supposed to be building lake effect again by tonight. We were fortunate, only 4" from yesterday's snow but 10 miles down the road they closed down I-481 to Syracuse and the city of Fulton.

Yea I saw that- Strange Lake bands- Heck the band was only about 10 miles wide- Go on either side of it and they got just a dusting!!!! Not my house- 2 FEET!!! I was out driving in it last night- A trip that takes 20 mins. took me an hour!!! and the snow was so deep on the roads that my brakes frosted up and stopped working (oh joy) I backed into the driveway (as I always do) and was plowing snow over my tailgate!!!! Yup Lake effect in Western New york just ain't fun

Hey, who-ever shut the door in Canada, I want to Thank you. It didn't get as cold as they predicted. Whew! It was close though. I like the cold but it has been so warm down here that the plants have already started budding and lots of new growth. If it keeps getting to cold, all my plants will dye. My roses are finally looking real good, lots of blooms already this year! I don't want to lose them. Hey Snowdog, I hope you continue to feel so good! Musta been them pics from Quartizte. They even warmed me up and it's not snowing here! LOL Tonja

We're supposed to have some really cold weather coming in by this weekend, colder than it's been in 4 years. I am so not looking forward to that! Dave, 18° isn't so bad if there's no wind but if it was windy, there's something seriously wrong. ;D
