i cannot believe it! there is a dusting of snow on the ground! i had to wake up my child and hubby. my hubby didn't seem to appreciate that but my child did lol. my child wants to make a snowman but i don't even know if there is enough to make a snowball. but i'll let you know on that snowball. i think i'm going to go out and make a batch to smack hubby when he tries to leave for work ;D. is that cheating to have your snowballs already pre-made and hidden . kim

Just watch that the snowballs don't get frozen solid. Getting smacked up side the head with a chunk of ice hurts a bit.

You can have it Kim! It's 14 below 0 right now and I don't even want to talk about wind chill. If it warms up it will snow again. Someone in a nearby town sold snowballs on ebay to someone else in Conn. Anyone want to buy a snowball?? Have fun, stay warm. Put on a sweater, your mother is cold!!

LOL Good going Kim and no, it's not cheating to be prepared.
Joe, I'm with you ... we had -14° here last night and going to be in the -20's for the next couple of days. It's bad for that here, they just had to close one of our schools cause a water main broke. We don't have enough snow to protect the ground from freezing too deep.

Hey Kim, sorry to hear it's gone already. Here where I live, I am on the north side of a high ridge, and under normal circumstances, it pretty much snows all the time, all winter. It's similar to lake-effect snow. Just a steady light powder coming down. I was outside waking my dog this morning, and she started ignoring me, so I made a snowball and tossed it and hit her on the shoulder. She turned and looked at me with the funniest look. I don't thing she thought that could actually hit her from where I was. She paid attention after that. I know some other people who might benefit from that treatment! Ron

MY Scottie loves to play catch with snowballs- He gets his muzzle all frosty white- then we ask him if he has been eating the snow and he gets this innocent "who me?" look on his face!!! BTW- Snowing here again- hmmm they say another 4 to 6 inches- the bottom layer is really starting to compact now- gonna be a Long Feburary

This was the extent of our snow last year. Just enough to make this rinkadink snow man. It has snowed 3 times this year, and nothing has stuck yet, and it's already past last years snow date... not real confident for more snow here.

Ahhhh......... 72 degrees, a tiny little breeze and not a cloud in the sky here in Apache Junction. That's my idea of winter. Walking around outside with a tee shirt on. Lovely day.
